This grant assists an emerging filmmaker with their film project and is sponsored by the JL Legacy Fund, NB Film Co-op, No Fear Productions, and other generous contributors. In honour of late filmmaker John Young and late adventurer and artist Jane LeBlanc.

For a person, film company or organization who has contributed significantly to film and video in New Brunswick in a professional capacity This award is in honour of the late Jim Lavoie, a publicity guru and crew person on indie and commercial productions. The award cash prize is $250 and is sponsored by the JL Legacy Fund.

Brian Carty Film Volunteer Recognition Award

For a person, film company or organization who has contributed significantly to film and video in New Brunswick in a volunteer capacity. The award cash prize is $500 and is sponsored by Picaroons. In honour of late filmmaker and volunteer Brian Carty.

Silver Wave WIFT-AT Salute

For a woman or gender diverse person who has made an impact in New Brunswick through mentorship and giving back in different ways to their creative community. The award cash prize is $250 and is sponsored by the JL Legacy Fund.

NB Crew Excellence Award

For a crew person who has given back to their community on low-budget and no-budget film shoots. The award is for a crew person who makes a huge difference in the NB film community. This person makes themselves available to help out other creatives on a regular basis. The award cash prize is $1000 and is sponsored by IATSE 849 and IATSE 667.
