Oscar Wilde visited Fredericton's famous opera house in 1882 to deliver a lecture on the Aesthetics Movement. Although Wilde’s lecture would create any number of reactions from the citizens, newly emerging Fredericton writer Charles G. D. Roberts would go and consequently spend an evening with Wilde which would reinvigorate Roberts' drive to create a voice for the newly-emerging country of Canada.

80 York Street houses one of Fredericton’s long-standing businesses: Evelyn Grant’s Hair and Beauty Salon. Though there have been changes in location, staff, and clientele over the past 54 years of operation in downtown Fredericton, Evelyn has remained the constant centre in an ever-repeating cycle of shampoos, sets, and stories. This short video-portrait shines a light on the smart and charismatic businesswoman who has also been friend and confident to hundreds of local women and men over the past five decades of her salon’s operation.

Francis Sherman is Fredericton’s forgotten poet. His legacy is a small volume of verse that was praised by the likes of Charles GD Roberts and Rudyard Kipling. In 1947, he was recognized alongside Charles GD Roberts & Bliss Carman as a contributor to Fredericton’s designation as the “Poets Corner of Canada”.

A Saturday Affair is a celebration of the growth of multiculturalism through food that follows Bena Patel's struggle to turn her delicious recipe for samosas into a thriving business. Thirty years ago she could not even give her samosas away for free. Today, samosas are a staple of Fredericton's Saturday morning cuisine and the Boyce Farmer's Market is alive with ethnic foods, thanks to the perseverance of the Patel family.

that takes place in the Wolastok community of Sitansisk. What started
in the 1990’s with a few individuals putting up Christmas lights on their
houses has become an annual community event that represents
generosity, spirit, and hope for the future.

Fantasy and revenge combine in this film depicting the untold drama
and politics that led to the burning of the Fredericton Exhibition Palace
in 1877. A farmer dreams of an industrialized potato harvester and
stumbles upon the secret carnage used to erect the Fredericton
Exhibition Palace. Revenge for evil deeds ensues resulting in the
tumultous and fiery end of the exhibition palace.
